Manage Polylude notifications
Learn what's happening on Polylude
Usually, we will send email notifications of activity on Polylude.
Some of these are required for basic functioning, but we also allow disabling others if they’re of less value to you.
Tapping the ‘Unsubscribe’ link in any email we send takes you to a page for managing these. Or, if you’ve not yet confirmed your initial account contact details, the link will remove the corresponding account.
Alternatively, once connected, tapping on the account pane menu (or Backtick) and choosing ‘Settings’ lets you adjust account settings.
From which you can select ‘Notifications’, taking you to the same page.
Enabling/Disabling
Tap on any of the notifications you wish to toggle the sending of. Your changes will only take effect after tapping ‘Apply’ at the bottom of the listing.
Email notifications
This setting, when on, allows any of the notifications selected below, to be sent to the email address configured for your account.
When off, only essential account notifications will be sent.
Next, we’ll desribe the site’s various notifcations.
Subscription & Service Notifications
Messages related to your payments, gifts, and the operation or policies of Polylude services.
Invoices
You can choose to view any invoices instead through your Payment history.
For subscription payments
Sent upon each billing (either every month or year).
For other payments
Sent whenever you purchase account credit, either for yourself or as a gift to others.
Gifts
You can choose to view the status of funds you’ve gifted instead through your Gifting history.
When gift rejected by giftee
When you forward gifts, they may be rejected by the giftee. In which case the address associated with that gift will be cleared.
When a gift is rejected, we will let you know.
Account & Subscription
Since they’re critical to keeping your account usable, and our being transparent, these ones can’t be switched off.
For changing login details
To be able to change contact details — or the password or passphrase — set for your account, we need to be able to verify these new details.
About temporary account expiry
When an account has no payment method set and was started drawing from gifted funds, we may need to inform you when those funds are about to or have been consumed in subscription payments. So that you can avoid losing your account.
When subscription deactivated
When subscription payments fail for whatever reason, your subscription is deactivated, making many features unavailable. And we will try to notify you when this happens.
When policies change
As indicated in our Terms of Service, we will try to let you know when there are substantial changes to our User Agreement.
