Moving My Ideas
When another playpen is a better fit, context- or publicity-wise
Dragging one or more concepts to the Hex button, while in the action context, prompts the option to ‘move’ what’s dragged to another playpen.
Dropping onto the hex (or using the ‘move’ option in the concept context menu, or Ctrl-X) presents the other playpens where you can move these ideas. Tapping a destination (or Ctrl-V, when it’s in focus) will complete the move. If you picked the wrong destination by mistake, you can undo the move in the action context, or by tapping Ctrl-Z.
Besides being triggered from a different context, moves behave quite differently from ’linked copies’.
Warning: Can Be Destructive
Any links that occur between the moved concepts will also be moved. But any links that touch both a moved and unmoved concept will be destroyed.
Moving from a public to a private playpen will also destroy any copies referencing – or links depending on – them, from both your own and others’ playpens. So it can be more courteous to use copies when they suffice.
