The Hex Button
Switching contexts, adjusting edits and selections, and concept hovers/drops
While there are a few hexagonal buttons, when this documentation talks about ‘The Hex Button’, it means the hexagonal button shown at the bottom of the playpen view.
Your first encounter with the button will likely be to tap it to leave the Playpen View and enter the Island View.
Or you may see it grow to reveal some text according to the current gesture. With some gestures, the text will indicate what will happen when the gesture is complete (in which case tapping – or the Tab key – may cycle through alternatives). With others, the button itself is used to complete the action.
Switching contexts
In the default playpen view, buttons will be visible to one or both sides of the hex button. When these buttons are visible, the hex may also be dragged horizontally.
When dragged horizontally, a bar becomes visible, guiding you to the available contexts.
In Series Context
Within the series context, some new – vertical – dragging options become available. The first shows you this playpen’s series, and allows you to switch between them. The second (visible if you own the playpen) is used to remove the current concept from the series.
Check the series docs to learn how to start/pause autoplay.
Cycling Lasso Modes
When lassoing concepts in a playpen, the hex button will grow to reveal the current lasso mode.
Tap the grown hex to cycle between them.
