Viewing Series

Manual or animated. Take organized or exploratory steps through a playpen.

Once a series is opened, there are buttons flanking each side of the Hex button. The outermost buttons go to the start or end1 of the current series. And the inner two buttons take a step forward or backward.

This lets you manually step through a series. But you can also start automated playback from any point.

Any tracing on the canvas will pan the view, and tapping the canvas will switch to the Draw context2.

Check out the list of keyboard shortcuts for series. ‘Cycling’ with Tab not only advances, but, once the end is reached, repeats from the beginning.

  1. One notable exception is with the ‘Random Walk’ series, which is a series without a fixed length. Usually, each step follows a random choice of links from the current concept. The ’end’ button offers an alternative: jump to a separate concept in the playpen, regardless of whether it’s linked to the current. ↩︎
